Getting started

Quick start

From nothing to a live agent. The first three steps need no phone number.

  1. 1
Create an agent. Go to Agents › New agent and follow the steps: pick its kind (Salesperson, Receptionist and so on), give it a name and company, set its personality, and fill in what it sells and how to answer objections. See Creating an agent.
  2. 2
Give it something to know. On its Knowledge tab, add your website pages, a price list PDF or written notes. See Knowledge.
  3. 3
Talk to it. Press Test call on the agent and play the customer, by voice or typing. Fix anything it gets wrong in its tabs and try again. See Test calls.
  4. 4
Give it a phone number. Put a Twilio number (or your own over SIP) in the agent's Settings and point the number at the voice server. See Phone numbers and SIP.
  5. 5
Say where summaries go. In Settings, add the email or mobile that should hear about each call, and connect your CRM or calendar on the Connect tab if you use one.
  6. 6
Give it people to call. Add or import leads on Leads, or send new enquiries from your website to its lead webhook. See Leads.
Before calling real people
Read Australian compliance. Cold lists need a Do Not Call Register check, and calls only go out within the legal calling hours.
