Identity, voice and language
The Identity tab is who the agent is on the phone: its name, voice and manner. A live preview shows exactly what the agent is told.
Name and voice
- Name is the first name it introduces itself with.
- Gender picks its voice: an Australian woman's or man's voice from Fish Audio.
- Role is an optional job title, such as “health cover specialist”.
Admins can set a particular Fish Audio voice under “advanced” in Settings, plus a backup voice used if the main one fails mid-call.
Personality sliders
| Slider | Low end | High end |
|---|---|---|
| Warmth | Polite and businesslike | Warm and caring, uses their name |
| Energy | Calm and unhurried | Bright and enthusiastic |
| Formality | Casual, like a neighbour | Formal and proper |
| Humour | Serious, no jokes | Cheeky banter |
| Assertiveness | Gentle, lets them lead | Direct, asks for the commitment |
| How much they say | One short sentence | Chatty, explains in detail |
Anything else is free text for phrases it uses or how it should sound. The honesty and conduct rules always win over personality.
Hear a preview
Hear a preview plays the agent answering a sample caller (a general enquiry, a price question, or “not interested”) in its voice, using the settings on screen, saved or not. It starts in about half a second.
How it talks
- It speaks everyday Australian English with no put-on slang (no "G'day" or "mate").
- It reacts the way people do ("Got it," "Fair enough") while it thinks, so there's no dead air.
- Female agents react in words only ("Okay," "Right," "Sure,"), never "um" or "ah".
- It introduces itself by name and company and never opens by saying it's an AI, but it always says so if asked.
Other languages
Agents can hold calls in Mandarin, Arabic, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Punjabi, Greek, Italian, Filipino, Hindi, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian, Thai, French, German, Portuguese or Turkish. Set the language through the Ask AI assistant or the API. The agent then speaks and listens only in that language; call summaries stay in English.
